Jim Henson Designs The Scribbles For 4Kids

The Scribbles represent elements of our own psyche and imagination, brought to life by the magic of Jim Henson. Inspired by original scribbles by Jim Henson himself, these Scribbles embody all our pent-up emotions…all our hopes, dreams, and fears. Got something to express? Don’t say it…SCRIBBLE it! That’s the Henson way!
Among the colorful characters: Wendell – The Dreamer; Gormand – The Glutton; Zee-Zee – The Lump; Spork – The Wild Child; Sunny – The Goth Girl; Bink – The Weirdo; Razz – The Trickster; and Smitty – The Blowhard.
Bored at work? Clip a miniature bored Scribble on your computer?. Frustrated with someone? Set the angry Scribble as your iPhone’s video ringtone, watching it throw a tantrum every time that person calls. Got a crush? Stamp the romantic Scribble on your crush’s Facebook wall with a virtual Scribble app. Whoever you are, wherever you go…you can use the Henson Scribbles to doodle all over your life, letting all the world know who you are, how you’re feeling, and how you see the world.
Since they were first introduced in 2009, Jim Henson Designs products have taken Japan by storm. A range of products including apparel and accessories for children and adults are available in Tinkerbell stores, Kiddyland and Fotoist Stores throughout Japan. Additionally, products from Sekiguchi, including plush and collectibles, are in stores across the country with growing demand. 4Kids’ agent Global Brands is proud of the successful launch in Japan, and is in the process of negotiating additional licensing deals in multiple categories.
“We identified this as a key property for Japan since Jim Henson is a global icon,” said Marcia Aoki, Managing Director of Global Brands Japan. “The Henson legacy, coupled with the fact that the art is so adorable and translates in any language, is what is making the brand a success in Japan. We are proud to have been the ‘adopted’ birthplace for Jim Henson Designs.”
